The Marvelous Education Alliance

When we first launched mEA in 2021, the “m” representing “Mobiles” in our organization’s name never perfectly fit.

Not only are there so many other types of technologies, including radio and television, to support learning in low-resource context, but the Alliance has always been about highlighting the collective impact of our now 100+ institutional members – and their affiliated networks – to strengthen the global education ecosystem.

For our 15th annual Symposium, we invite you to join us to celebrate how MARVELOUS the individuals and organizations that are part of the mEA family: to hear firsthand about their work – and share your own experiences. 

As with our prior highly participatory events, this Symposium will bring together approximately 300 attendees with representation from: national governments, other policymakers at international and regional organizations, technology and innovation experts from non- and for-profit institutions, funders, and researchers. Most attendees share a common interest in work in lower resource context.

Presentation Proposals:

Tell us in your presentation proposal what is Marvelous about your education innovation (tech or non-tech). Those accepted will be notified and presentations grouped under similar track themes. (Further down on this page, you can see a short list of likely event sub-themes based on our most recent Symposia.)

Participation at the general Symposia and Alliance Member Day are invite-only. Fill out this form if you would like to be considered as a general attendee.

Registration Fees:

Selected attendees pay a registration fee of US$600, but we offer discounts for participants from low-income countries. 

As a small non-profit, the mEA depends upon member support, event sponsorship, and registration fees to sustain our work; however, we are committed to organizing a robust and inclusive program so will work with accepted presenters and general attendees to support their participation.

In your presentation proposal, you’ll let us know what makes your education innovation (tech or non-tech), particularly those in low-resource settings, Marvelous.

We will organize commonly themed presentations in similar event tracks. We anticipate many of these will be organized around the event themes and sub-themes from our past global symposia, including:

To successfully host the symposium, we are seeking partnerships with like-minded organizations, donors, and sponsors committed to advancing Marvelous education globally. Opportunities for collaboration include:

  • Sponsorship Packages: Choose from Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsorship tiers, with benefits such as track co-hosting, branding, speaking slots, and exclusive networking access.
  • Track Sponsorships: Adopt a track, bring in dynamic presenters and shape the event content.

Jax Chaudhry leads Project Invent, a national nonprofit that empowers youth with future ready mindsets for individual success and global impact, through invention. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, Jax loves working with students, families and partners to ensure every student can attain success as they define it. For more than 10 years, she has worked with elementary schools, high schools, education nonprofits and led regional teams and operations to ensure student success.

Michael Leventhal

Kenneth Y T Lim operates at the intersection of neuroergonomics, the learning scienceMichael Leventhal is co-founder of RobotsMali, a pedagogical and AI4D laboratory and STEM education center in Bamako, Mali. RobotsMali has trained thousands of students from elementary school to high school in computer science, robotics, and artificial intelligence, coached national robotics teams that have won 32 medals in international competitions, and developed technologies using AI and robotics for the social and economic development of Mali. Before becoming an educator in Mali, Michael worked as a technologist in Silicon Valley.s, and cognitive psychology. In 2023, he and his team were identified by UNESCO to share their work on the affordances of Generative AI for meaningful teaching and learning, during UNESCO’s first annual flagship event Digital Learning Week, international forum on the implications of Generative AI for education, in the session on ‘Preparing students and teachers for responsible use of AI’.

Enouce Ndeche is the founder and Director of Vijana Amani Pamoja ,VAP a community scheme based in Nairobi Kenya that uses the power and the popularity of the game of soccer/football as a catalyst for social, educational and economic empowerment.Enouce holds a degree in sociology from Egerton university and he is also the 2020 individual award recipient “Diversity and Inclusion Eminent Leader Award Enouce is also a certified Sports Philanthropy and Executive, George Washington University and is a 2023 Gratitude Network fellow.
